Vehicle wraps are an incredible way to advertise your business. They are a one-time expense that you benefit from time and time again, and no matter where you go, you are getting the word out about your business! However, vehicle wraps, just like your vehicle, can get dirty over time. A dirty vehicle wrap doesn’t look great, but luckily cleaning your custom vehicle wrap is really easy. All you have to do is follow these easy steps:
- Be careful the first time you wash your graphic – You will need to use a mild detergent to wash your vehicle graphic, and it should never contain any sort of bleaching agent. When you wash your wrap for the first time, try your detergent out on a small area to make sure that it doesn’t cause any problems.
- Wash regularly – If you let a dirty vehicle wrap stay dirty for too long, you are setting yourself up for chipping and peeling. To clean your vehicle wrap, rinse it off, then use a soft, clean sponge and a mild detergent to gently scrub your graphic. You want to rinse your graphic off first, because if any grit gets stuck under your sponge, it can cause your graphic to get scratched. After it is washed and rinsed, grab a microfiber cloth and dry your graphic.
- Spot clean when necessary – There are certain circumstances when spot cleaning is a must. For instance, if you get gasoline, oil, tree sap or other abrasive contaminants on your wrap, they should be cleaned off as soon as possible, as they can damage your graphic.
