Have you had a chance to read our latest blog yet? If you have, then you already know that, here at Signners, we are not only your source for custom decals for cars in Miami, but we also want to help you keep them looking like new! That is why we told you how to properly clean your vehicle wrap. To recap, we talked about using a mild detergent, washing gently with a sponge and spot cleaning whenever your wrap encounters gasoline, oil, tree sap, etc. We have just a few more decal cleaning tips for you:
- Rinse your graphic properly – Not many people realize it, but when it comes to vehicle graphics, there is a right and a wrong way to rinse. Never use high water pressure to rinse your vehicle wrap. Use the lowest possible water pressure, and keep your hose’s nozzle at least twelve inches away from your graphic. You should also avoid rinsing your graphic at an angle, as this can cause water to seep underneath your graphic.
- Never use automatic car washes – It might be tempting to get your car cleaned quickly in an automatic car wash, but this can be incredibly hard on your vehicle graphics. Automatic car washes tend to use very hot water, abrasive detergents and stiff bristles, which can cause your vehicle wrap to become scratched or chipped. Avoid automatic car washes whenever possible, but if you absolutely have to use one, find a brushless automatic car wash.
